Yale University’s 321st Commencement

The following message was sent from Secretary and Vice President for University Life, Kimberly M. Goff-Crews to students in the Yale College Class of 2022 on February 1, 2022.


Dear Members of the Class of 2022,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to Yale University’s 321st Commencement. We are planning to hold all events in person.

Commencement Weekend activities for graduating students and their guests will begin on Sunday, May 22, and culminate in the University Commencement Ceremony on Monday, May 23, on our historic Old Campus. 

The major ceremonies of the weekend are:
 

Baccalaureate | Sunday morning, May 22, on Old Campus
 
Class Day | Sunday afternoon, May 22, on Old Campus 

Commencement Ceremony | Monday, May 23, on Old Campus beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by residential college diploma ceremonies
 

All students and guests must be fully vaccinated to attend university ceremonies and events on Commencement Weekend. We will keep you informed regarding additional arrangements or requirements, as necessary, based on public health conditions.

Please use the commencement website as your best source for Commencement Weekend information. Details about ceremonies and other activities will be updated throughout the academic year. You may also receive college-specific information from your residential college.
