Welcome to Yale University’s Commencement website! Here you will find information to help you plan a joyous, celebratory weekend.

Yale’s 316th Commencement will take place on Monday, May 22, 2017. The dates for major ceremonies throughout Commencement weekend can be found on the Schedule of Events page. Please note that no tickets are required for Baccalaureate, Class Day, or Commencement.

More events, activities, and other information will continue to be posted on this website throughout winter and spring. Yale College and the graduate and professional schools will also begin communicating with their students about Commencement weekend as they solidify their plans for school-specific events.

To look back at the traditions and festivities of Commencement 2016, visit Yale’s YouTube channel for a recap of the weekend’s celebrations. Photos and stories about the ceremonies and the Class of 2016 are available on Yale’s Flickr page and in our 2016 News and Photo Galleries.
