Off-Campus Accomodations

New Haven hotels sell out early. If you have access to a vehicle, you may consider a hotel or home rental in the greater New Haven area. Towns like Hamden, Branford, West Haven, Milford and Orange are all within a short driving distance.

On-Campus Accommodations

Housing reservations for Commencement 2019 have now closed.

The Commencement housing office is in the Dwight Hall Common Room on Old Campus.  Enter Old Campus at Phelps Gate, located at 344 College Street across from the New Haven Green.  Dwight Hall is across the quad.

You may check in any time after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18.  It is extremely important that you vacate your room by noon on Tuesday, May 21.  The University requires immediate access at that time to prepare for alumni reunions which begin on Thursday, May 23.  We are unable to make any exceptions to this date and time.

On campus housing reservations have now closed. Confirmation will be e-mailed by Friday, May 3, 2019.

Description of On-Campus Accommodations

All on-campus housing is in the residential college dormitories.  Families and guests of Yale College will be housed in their graduate’s residential college.  In the residential colleges, the bathrooms located in common hallway and your room key will open the door.  Graduate student families and guests will be housed in the first-year dorms on Old Campus, where our guests may share a suite with a common living room with other guests.  Old Campus dorms share a common in-suite bathroom which does not have a lockable door.

Bedrooms in all buildings are furnished with single beds, dressers, desks, and chairs.  Rooms will be cleaned, and beds will be made up with linens, a blanket, and a pillow.  Three towels and soap will also be provided.  Please be sure to bring any other personal toiletries.  No daily maid service will be provided during your stay.

$182 per person; this flat fee covers your entire stay of one, two, or three nights.
