Throughout Commencement weekend, Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale (80 Wall St, across Silliman College), in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary and Vice President for Student Life at Yale, will offer a number of Shabbat and Shavuot holiday services and kosher meals. To help the center’s staff prepare these events and meet the needs of observant Jews, we are conducting a survey to gauge interest and assess the needs of our prospective visitors. If you intend to visit Yale for Commencement, please review the list of possible services and meals we may offer, and select the ones you may need. In addition, Yale University will work with families to make arrangements for on campus rooms for observant Jews who do not drive on Shabbat and holy days, special graduate photo sessions before Shabbat, and other accommodations required to ensure our observant graduates and their families can celebrate their accomplishments.

Please note that the listing of events is tentative; we may update or change proposed Shabbat and holiday events based on interest level.
