Dear Members of the Class of 2023,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to Yale University’s 322nd Commencement.

Commencement Weekend activities for graduating students and their guests will begin on Sunday, May 21, and culminate in the University Commencement Ceremony on Monday, May 22, on our historic Old Campus.

The major ceremonies of the weekend are:

Baccalaureate | Sunday, May 21, at 10:00 a.m. on Old Campus

Class Day | Sunday, May 21, at 2:00 p.m. on Old Campus

Commencement Ceremony | Monday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m. on Old Campus

Diploma Ceremonies | Monday, May 22, at approximately noon in the residential colleges

This year, each Yale College graduating student will receive four (4) tickets that will enable their guests to enter Old Campus for the University Commencement Ceremony on Monday morning. Guests who do not have tickets for Old Campus can watch the live-streamed ceremony on screens and in viewing rooms on campus or on the Yale YouTube channel.

The Baccalaureate, Class Day, and Diploma ceremonies will not be ticketed.

Please use the commencement website as your best source for Commencement Weekend information. Details about ceremonies and other activities, dining, on-campus housing options, announcement cards, and other Commencement orders will be updated throughout the academic year. You may also receive college-specific information from your residential college.

We will write again as plans progress. You can reach the Commencement Office at university.events@yale.edu or (203-432-5573).

We look forward to celebrating with you and with your family and friends in May.

Sincerely,
Kimberly M. Goff-Crews
