Dear Graduates of the Class of 2020,

I am pleased to invite you to return to campus with family and friends to celebrate your accomplishments in person. A traditional university commencement ceremony will take place on Old Campus on Saturday morning, May 14, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., followed by residential college ceremonies.

Members of your class are helping to plan a weekend of social activities from midday, Friday, May 13, to midday, Sunday, May 15, 2022, including senior dinners in the colleges on Friday evening.

All students and guests must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations in order  to attend university ceremonies and events during the weekend. Please watch for future messages about additional arrangements or requirements, as necessary, based on public health conditions.

The commencement website is your best source for information about the weekend; details about ceremonies and other activities will be available there as they are finalized.

Graduates of the Class of 2020 will be offered housing on campus. Information about accommodations for guests will be updated here. You may also receive college-specific information from your residential college.

Your college heads and deans, members of the Yale College Dean’s Office, the faculty and staff, and I are eager to celebrate with you and with your families and friends in May.

With best wishes from campus,

Marvin M. Chun
Dean of Yale College
Richard M. Colgate Professor of Psychology; Neuroscience; Cognitive Science
