Baccalaureate service for seniors and guests from Branford, Jonathan Edwards, Silliman, and Trumbull Colleges. Doors will open for the first Sunday service at 8:45 am. After the service, families should plan to meet their student on Cross Campus rather than Beinecke Plaza, as the Plaza will be closed to accommodate guests waiting to enter Brunch in Commons and the second Baccalaureate service in Woolsey. No tickets are required for this event, but seating is limited, so guests are advised to arrive early.
This one-hour service, which is repeated twice on Sunday, features an address by President Salovey, as well as remarks by the Dean of Yale College. Students and their guests are assigned to one of three services, depending on residential college affiliation.
Please note: For the comfort and safety of our graduates and visitors, we strongly encourage guests to avoid bringing bags to all major ceremonies. Please note that bags or luggage 12” x 12” or larger in size will not be permitted at Baccalaureate, Class Day, Commencement, and the Yale Air Force and Naval ROTC Joint Commissioning Ceremony. All bags are subject to search at all events. Unfortunately, large bags cannot be stored for the Baccalaureate ceremonies.
